Thanksgiving Dinner – Host an International Student

Every year, International Student Services and Programming invites faculty and staff to host international students for Thanksgiving dinner. This wonderful opportunity allows our UCSC faculty and staff community to share traditions and help our international students experience the warmth and diversity of this American holiday.
How it Works
- Matching: We pair international students with UCSC staff or faculty hosts based on mutual preferences, compatibility, and availability.
- Notification: Host contact details will be shared with matched students prior to Thanksgiving so guests can reach out, introduce themselves, and coordinate arrival times, dietary needs, and address details.
- Transportation: Students are expected to arrange their own transportation (via public transit or ride-share) unless alternative arrangements are coordinated directly with their host.
