Join KQED and the Seymour Marine Discovery Center to celebrate the return of our 87-foot blue whale skeleton.
Make a day of ocean discovery! Dive into hands-on science with UC Santa Cruz researchers, add your creativity to a community mural, and get crafty with Santa Cruz Maker Studio. Enjoy live music, explore on an oceanfront tour, and grab something delicious from local food trucks. All part of a full day of family fun!

- Hands-on Fun & Creativity: Leave your mark on our community mural, get hands-on with the Santa Cruz Maker Studio, and jump into bubbles + chalk play.
- Interactive Science: Meet real UC Santa Cruz researchers at our science fair, try your hand at a Ms. Blue bone restoration activity, and explore volunteer-guided ocean learning stations.
- Entertainment and Tours: Enjoy live music, a puppet show from The Puppetry Institute, and take in the sights with ocean-view docent tours.
- Eats & Shopping: Refuel at local food trucks and browse unique creations from local craft vendors.
