DESCRIPTION:Rooted in Nature is a pre-conference camping retreat leading up to the California Black Farmers Conference designed to connect attendees and community members with the land\, with each other\, and with themselves. Through guided outdoor experiences\, storytelling\, community meals\, wellness activities\, and field day activities\, participants will explore healing\, resilience\, and joy in nature. \nThis is more than a camping trip—it's a space to build community\, restore balance\, and deepen our relationship to land and legacy. Whether you're an experienced camper or new to the outdoors\, all are welcome and encouraged to attend. \nActivities include: \n\n\nNature hikes & plant walks \n\n\nCampfire storytelling \n\n\nArt\, music\, & meditation circles \n\n\nWorkshops & land-based teachings \n\n\nGroup meals & reflection time \n\n\n  Dates: July 19-20\, 2025\n  Location: Sunset State Beach\, 201 Sunset Beach Rd\, Watsonville\, CA 95076 \nSpots are limited — Registration is required.
