DESCRIPTION:As a part of the Sovereignty & Solidarity Fall Speaker Series\, the Huerta Center is thrilled to host Dr. Jessica Stites Mor from The University of British Columbia. This talk will explore how Cuban photojournalism of the 1960s-1970s functioned as an infrastructure of tricontinental solidarity shaping anti-imperial vocabularies and forging new global networks of struggle. Stites Mor examines how the Cuban Revolution influenced vocabularies\, mobilization strategies and aesthetic practices to advance decolonisation in the heart of the Cold War.
