DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join us\, open to all majors! \nUndergraduate and graduate students and recent alumni interested in pursuing continuing education opportunities are invited to attend. SUMMARY:Career as a Brand System™: The Language That Shapes Your Career
DESCRIPTION:Your experience may speak for itself\, but only if you have the language to help others understand its value. \nAs careers evolve\, the challenge is often not gaining more experience. It’s learning how to articulate the throughline: what you’re known for\, what makes your perspective distinct\, and where you want to go next. \nIn this interactive 90-minute workshop\, Wendy Chan\, founder of INBRND and creator of Career as a Brand System™\, will guide UC Davis alumni through a brand-strategy approach to career development. \nRather than treating your career story as a static bio or résumé\, you’ll explore how language can become infrastructure for the opportunities you want to create. \nThrough guided reflection\, practical exercises\, and the Career as a Brand System™ framework\, participants will learn how to: \n\nIdentify the experiences\, strengths\, and patterns that shape how you want to be known\nDevelop clearer language for communicating your value across roles\, industries\, and career stages\nConnect past experiences into a more cohesive professional narrative\nTranslate that narrative into language you can use across conversations\, profiles\, interviews\, and other career assets\nWrite a Letter to Your Future Self to define what you want the next chapter of your career to stand for\n\nParticipants will receive a digital workbook before the session and leave with language they can continue refining and applying long after the workshop. \nWhat past participants discovered\n“I have great visuals\, but the words and language could be better.” \n“This workbook is very thought-provoking. I almost didn’t come\, but I’m so glad I did—I’m trying to pivot.” \n“Early in my career\, I thought success would be achieved through product knowledge and sales ability. This system helped me realize that positioning and differentiation matter just as much—if not more—than sales skills or persuasion.”\n— Meg McGraw\, VP of Business Development & Strategy\, SPS \nParticipant bonus: Attendees will also receive one complimentary month of Passable\, a digital networking tool designed to help you stay on brand while turning new connections into lasting relationships. \nSpots are limited—register by November 4th to reserve your place for this virtual session on November 9th at 5:00 PM PT. \nBrought to you by UC Davis\, open to all UC alumni \nREGISTER
